==History==
For Rent Media Solutions began as For Rent Magazine in Seattle, Washington in 1982, while former parent company, Trader Publishing, was established in 1991. In 1994, Southwest Apartment Guide was acquired, becoming the brand’s second publication. Around the time of the ‘dot com’ bubble, ForRent.com, the company’s Internet listing service, launched in 1997. In 2000, Trader Publishing acquired United Advertising Publications, Inc.
